Jon Benet Ramsey Class IV - Distress Condition, Crime Scene
On December 26, 1996, a 7-year old girl by the name of JonBenet Ramsey was reported kidnapped from her home. Although the Boulder police compromised the crime scene, her body was found in the home's basement. Police initially focused on her parents as potential suspects. The crime is still unsolved, but evidence suggests that her parents were actually not involved. The home had an unimpaired market value of approximately $1 million and it was later sold to friends of the Ramseys for approximately $650,000. Neighbors report that the incident did not impact adjoining property values.
